I am new to the forum. We are from California. We aren't fortunate enough to live part time in France (the grandparent "bug" bit us hard) but we do make at least a yearly trip there and we've just booked our next one for May 2010.
We are planning yet another river trip, our 4th, this time on the Lot (Douelle-Douelle). We'll be with two others so we will be a total of 4. We have done some traveling by car in the area in the past; our companions have not. We aren't planning on renting a car this trip, but would really like to visit St. Cirq Lapopie, Pech Merle and possibly Rocamadour. I know the first two are doable in one day so those are our priorities.
We are looking for a guide and or driver (doesn't have to be licensed) to meet us at the boat at a pre-arranged location and take us to the village and caves, possibly to Rocamadour. We are certainly willing to cover their expenses and some additional, as well. We are educated, professional people, easy to get along with and anxious for adventure. My husband if fluent in French and I can get by. If you know of anyone who might be intersted please let me know.
Many thanks,
Julie
