going back to visit UK

Someone said that once we're in the french health system and have the Carte Vitale we then need something; equivalent of E111?; in case we need medical help when back in the UK.

Any comments anyone?

It's a long time since your post, but if you haven't found out already, yes you do. You can get a card very easily from your local health authority. It has to be renewed every year.

it's even longer since my original post now BUT are you referring to french or english local health authority - do you mean CPAM?

CPAM took our English ones off us the other week and said they'd arrange new ones - about 4 weeks they said!
